**About us**

Te Whatu Ora - Waitematā are undertaking major capital works at our rapidly-expanding campuses to help meet unprecedented population growth in the Northern Region of New Zealand. A cornerstone of this expansion programme is the construction of the four-storey Tōtara Haumaru (Shade of the Tree) hospital building on Auckland's North Shore. This new state-of-the-art facility has been built on our North Shore Hospital campus - overlooking the incredible, volcanically formed Lake Pupuke - just a stone’s throw away from our world-famous Waitematā Harbour and some of the region’s most spectacular beaches. Tōtara Haumaru opened in mid-2024 and provides up to eight extra operating theatres, four new endoscopy suites and up to 150 new beds - helping us meet the needs of our vibrant, fast-growing and culturally diverse population of over 643,000 people.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team at Totara Haumaru Theatres on a permanent, part time basis. You will be responsible for providing a warm welcome to patients & their whānau into the department, managing telephone calls and answering queries with a professional & positive attitude, and a range of administration & clerical duties. This role is 0.25FTE, ideally working 2 x 10 hour shifts per fortnight, however specific hours can be discussed at interview.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have
- Previous receptionist experience within a hospital or healthcare environment
- Fantastic communication and computer skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Customer-focussed approach
- Interactive Team Player
- Self-motivated
- Flexibility and willingness to work with changing priorities are essential
- Work well under pressure and remain calm and courteous in stressful situations
