We have opportunities for nurses to join our teams in either PACU or Operating Rooms. If you are an experienced nurse who has worked in an acute hospital setting and have always wanted to work within a perioperative environment, then this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

**We offer a supported educational programme for**:

- Registered Nurses with an interest in working in PACU and
- Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses with an interest in working in Operating Rooms

The Pokakapu Ātea training programmes will assist you acquire the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent care to patients having surgery at Te Toka Tumai.

Enrich your own learning and professional growth through working within Āhua Tohu Pōkangia which has expert teams performing a wide range of surgical procedures for tāngata whaiora | people seeking wellness, and whānau within our diverse operating suites. Te Toka Tumai is a national referral centre for several specialties, so you will be exposed to surgeries you may not see elsewhere in Aotearoa | New Zealand.

You will be supported in your learning by not only your peers but by educators and senior nurses to embark on your new career path.

- Be a registered / enrolled nurse who has New Zealand registration or be eligible for registration with NZ Nursing Council
