Seasonal Sample Collector

**We are looking for Seasonal Sample Collectors to join our Team based around the Bay of Plenty (Waihi, Katikati, Tauranga, Te Puke, Whakatane, Opotiki)** for the upcoming Kiwifruit season. Our branch operates 7 days a week during the kiwifruit season and collects and tests samples of kiwifruit from orchards to see if they meet the Zespri guidelines for export.

**We will have two types of fixed-term samplers**:

- Core Samplers - Potential to work up to 6 days per week (generally 10 - 30 hours/ week)
- Part-Time Samplers - Potential to work up to 4 days per week (this will be more of a ‘supplementary’ role, but availability across 7 days of the week is still preferred)

**No experience is necessary and full training is provided.**

**THE ROLE**

This role is for a Fixed term period with seasonal work starting at the end of February ramping up in March and running through to May/ June. The busiest times are impossible to predict but are generally concentrated in March and April. Duties will include driving to orchards and collecting kiwifruit samples (on foot) and then driving the collected samples to the nearest drop off point. You will be working variable hours per week. Works starts at daybreak (around 6am) and will generally be finished between midday and 2pm. Samplers will be assigned their work for the following day between 5-9pm. Samplers may work alone or in pairs.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Good map reading skills
- Ability to work within set timeframes
- Good with technology
- Flexible with hours and a good communicator who is happy to work unsupervised
- Clean driving history, full Class 1 drivers licence
