**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About this role**

As the intermediate backend developer, you are part of a development squad in the Digital Delivery team. You will be working with the other developers, testers and business analysts in your team, and collaborating with solution architects, devops engineers, test engineers etc, all together to create beautiful products and have fun

You will be supported by your Delivery Team Lead, and the wider Digital Team to achieve your success and your growth.

You are a intermediate backend developer skilled in C#,.net /.net core.

**Your Experience and skills include the following**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Excellent knowledge in ASP.net, MVC, C#
- Excellent knowledge in API development
- Strong object-oriented design and programming skills.
- Ideally experience with.NET core, Elasticsearch, AWS platform, NoSQL database, React.
- Practical experience with git, build and continuation integration.
- Experience in an Agile environment.
- Excellent problem solving, issue identification and technical documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to lead technical matter discussion and present solutions to stakeholders.

**You can choose to perform this role**:

- Flexibly through a hybrid of 2 Days in the office and remote working rest of the week

**You will be working with our maturely established tech stack**:

- Frontend: react, redux, redux-sagas, redux router, styled-components
- Backend: Microservice architectures,.NET core, Node.js
- Automation: Cypress.js, BDD
- Infrastructure: TeamCity / Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Redis, ELK, New Relic
- AWS: S3, EC2, ECS, ELB, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Kinesis

**Responsibilities**:

**Development**:

- Taking an active part in the ongoing development of thl digital's.
- Hands-on development of software artifacts in a variety of languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other developers in order to produce software artifacts.
- Collaborate with architects to implement solutions and technical design produced by architects.
- Assist with architects and other stakeholders where applicable to produce software artifacts.
- Propose and implement improvements to continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Implement best practices and support the software development life-cycle where applicable.
- Take an active part in SCRUM processes.
- Participate and lead technical design discussions.
- Provide mentorship to team members.

**Support**:

- Meet agreed SLA response times with logged support calls.

**Reporting**:

- Keep management and project teams informed of web development status against agreed time frames.
- Provision of analytical software and hardware performance reporting and recommendations as required.
- Escalate any issues to management that may compromise website performance or uptime.

**Relationships**:

- Work closely with the other members of the Development Team to deliver agreed web development projects.
- Maintain relationships with designated 3rd party software suppliers.
- Attend WIP meetings with appropriate thl digital teams - interactive and development.

- Actively participates in the thl digital health and safety system.
