**Mō te tūnga | About the role**:
The **Spiritual Carer** supports with tūroro, patients and their whānau and family in their differing spiritual and/or religious beliefs utilising Te Whara Tapa Wha Māori health model. You’ll be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team and will:

- Regularly visit with tūroro, patients in the community and in our in-patient units
- Develop and maintain a network with other spiritual leaders and community agencies
- Assist with education and training programmes
- Enable Harbour people to effectively articulate and support a spiritual care perspective

**He kōrero mōu| About you**:
You have demonstrated knowledge and skills in working with whānau and families facing loss. You have the resilience to support with tūroro patients with life-limiting illnesses. We’re looking for someone with leadership qualities, who can collaborate effectively in a team environment, be open minded, and have the flexibility to adapt when things change.

You also need:

- Recognised theological qualifications
- Experience working supporting people with different spiritual needs
- Ability and desire to work with people of multi-faith backgrounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A valid, clean full driver’s licence
