Our Custody teams in Whangarei, Dargaville and Kaikohe are seeking motivated individuals to work with their dedicated staff as Casual Contract Authorised Officers.
- The role of a Custody Officer within NZ Police is pivotal, and Custody Officers are responsible for providing appropriate standard of care for detainees whilst they are in our custody. This casual role is on call and your main purpose will be to assist with prisoner Management within the Police Station or at the Whangarei District Court as required.

You will be paid for hours worked as required when called in to assist.

This role is not for the faint hearted and will require someone who is confident, open-minded with attention to detail and willing to follow stringent safety procedures.

- Good computer skills - comfortable learning new systems, you will be required to input and update data accurately in Police systems therefore accurate typing skills are essential.
- High level of health and fitness.
- The ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $67,873 and $78,713 dependent on skill
