**About the Role**

The Clinical Physiology department at Lakes Rotorua is a small, passionate and fun team with close, supportive, working relationships with our senior medical and multi-disciplinary teams. We provide a diagnostic service for patients requiring Cardiology, Respiratory and Neurological investigation. Travel to our Taupo Hospital may to be required from time to time.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic person to join our team and train as a Cardiac Physiologist undertaking the following procedures:

- ECGs
- Ambulatory blood pressure
- Exercise stress testing
- Echocardiography (observation)
- cardiac monitoring (Holter and Event)
- Lung function tests
- Pacemaker and ICD follow up

As a trainee, you will be learning to perform these duties, transitioning from fully supervised instruction to working independently once successful practical assessment is achieved.

The training programme is for a 2 year period and includes completion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Technology, University of Otago as well as the Society of Cardiopulmonary (SCT) Certification of Cardiac Physiologists (CCP) practical examination.

- Hold an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health or science related field.
- Have high personal expectations, is self directed and uses initiative
- Dedicated to patient care, upholds confidentiality with a reputation for high integrity and discretion
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Be able to work under direction and as part of a team

**Salary range**

$77,087 to $107,600 pro-rated to hours worked
