Reporting to the General Manager, Operations and being a member of the National Leadership Team, this role is crucial in advancing best practice and international standards around environmental and sustainable practices within our business practices.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with organisational goals
- Support the regional Environment Managers to foster a culture of sustainability and encourage staff involvement
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices
- Innovate and continuously improve sustainability practices.
- Monitor and report on sustainability performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into all aspects of our projects and operations
- Lead initiatives to reduce carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency across our sites
- Engage with stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies, to promote and communicate our sustainability achievements and goals

**Experience and competencies**:

- Proven experience in environmental and sustainability management within construction or related industries
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to drive change and inspire a culture of sustainability within the organisation
- Strong analytical skills to assess and improve sustainability performance metrics
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
