Hospital Aide

**Start Date** - As soon as possible
**Hours** - 0.5 FTE, 5 shifts per fortnight
**Shifts** - 8 hours shifts, morning and afternoon on a rolling roster.

**Salary**:

- Starting from $51,770 to $61,540 per annum. Based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement

**Mō te tūnga - About the Role**
In May this year Oromairaki replaced Lincoln Maternity Hospital. It is a contemporary new birthing unit within the Selwyn Health Hub (Toka Hapāi) located in Rolleston.

The role requires you to be available for all shifts, 7 days per week within a set 6-week rolling roster.

Hospital Aides support the midwives - role and are responsible for the domestic requirements of the unit. These include for example, ordering, serving and clean-up of meals; cleaning and stocking rooms; ordering and stocking linen; orientating women to the unit and supporting partner and whanau visiting; answering the phone.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a committed and motivated individual who is looking to be part of the maternity strategy to promote a model of care change that seeks to facilitate more women having the confidence, if well, to birth at our community units.
