BayWa r.e. is now implementing an
**Offshore Wind **strategy that follows its greenfield development business model and builds on its existing international presence in markets such as Australia, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom. Leveraging our existing in-house project development, engineering, financing, operations and management skills, we will be working closely with experienced offshore partners to bring in additional skills and portfolio benefits.

**About the role**

Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our Offshore Wind Technical team and are currently looking for an
**Offshore Wind Analyst (M/F/d) - GIS** in any of our
**European locations**.

**What You Will Do**:

- You will take responsibility for the data management within BayWa r.e. Offshore Wind Team.
- You will map and plan production for internal and external use.
- You will provide the data analysis to support internal processes and decision making e.g. building and running constraints analysis models, or creating series of plans showing build up of date, layout evolution, key site issues etc.
- You will be working with technical teams to manage data from internal and external providers.
- You will manage relevant data licenses in collaboration with project managers or technical team members.
- You will build an offshore company-wide GIS database to assist in the depth of knowledge and rapid analysis of opportunities.
- You will work with existing BayWa colleagues to collaborate and ensure that relevant company policies are followed in developing and managing the offshore GIS system
- You will source and analyze datasets across multiple geographies and disciplines.

**Your Profile**:

- Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in a GIS related technical discipline
- Experience of working on GIS across multiple geographies
- Experience of working with offshore GIS
- Experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro and QGIS3.14 software suites
- Experience of managing and analyzing large scale and complex digital datasets
- Experience of being responsible for the GIS system within a company or division of a company
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to quickly adapt and identify creative solutions to problems
- Professional proficiency of written and spoken English, additional languages as a plus (German, French, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish)
