**The Opportunity**
The organisation is establishing a brand-new Data & AI team. You’ll be joining a fantastic expert in this space, helping to set up and run this practice. You’ll be part of a wider Digital department with a friendly, innovative culture and loads of great things going on.
- This role will support the full data lifecycle. You’ll design, develop, build and provide operational support for new data solutions that provide new ways to access, interact with and understand data.
- You’ll take a well-rounded approach to leveraging existing digital and non-digital capabilities, developing solutions that provide new insights and capability.
- You’ll be able to influence your scope of work to include your own areas of strength and interest.
- You’ll take a holistic view of the data lifecycle with a goal of generating deeper understanding and genuine feedback to assist in long-term decision making.
- You’ll get to know your users deeply. You’ll build understanding of the needs of multiple stakeholders, designing system components which will provide them with guidance in decision-making. Investigating and prototyping multiple design views to create the best system outcomes will be a core part of your role.
- You’ll use a collaborative approach to design systems components and build robust ways of testing new and complex integration builds. You’ll design, perform and report these results to make systems recommendations, with a broad range of focuses which will provide you with consistent fresh learning opportunities.

**About You**
- Naturally, you’ll have demonstrable experience in data-driven software engineering roles, including experience in a data engineering capacity.
- You’ll have some domain knowledge in programming and software development, and business modelling, ideally with expertise in one or both areas.
