The Team: _**What we do**

Our Community Mental Health Team covers a large geographical area, from Rakaia to the Rangitata River and across to the Southern Alps. As a professional and highly skilled registered nurse, who displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm for this area of work, you will enjoy working in a committed and hard working multi-disciplinary team. You will enjoy the challenges of working at the top of your scope of practice and be supported in achieving and maintaining this.

The Role:_** Where you fit in**

A motivated self-starter, you must enjoy the challenges of case management, including assessment, treatment and building relationships with consumers and their families/whanau. The ability to work in an integrated manner with our inpatient team and to develop sound working relationships with community resources and services is essential. Be part of an organisation that provides an open and friendly approach and fantastic opportunities for skills development. Experience in mental health, acute assessment skills and community experience preferred. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team.

You will be expected to do on call work for 1-2 nights per week on our on-call service that works from 4:30 pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday. You will be a duty Authorised Officer (DAO) or be prepared to train. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rural community team.

There are transport options available from either Timaru or Christchurch if required.

We have x1 permanent full time position available.
