We are looking for an experienced people leader to work with and inspire a team of Medical Laboratory Scientists and Technicians. The team provides a comprehensive range of laboratory genetic services and new developments are always underway, so you’ll certainly be busy. You’ll have some great peers to work with and will also support our Operations Manager. We are a team of approximately 60 staff that provide Diagnostic Genetic services to Te Toka Tumai, the Northern Region and beyond.

You will be responsible for leading the Scientist Unit Manager and departmental teams to deliver the highest quality service to patients and whanau with a focus on system improvements, finance and business development. You will need to develop relationships with different stakeholders within the organisation to ensure excellent service is delivered for patients, staff are well-supported and turnaround time standards are adhered to.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a great group of people, showcase your leadership and management talents as well as hone your project management skills.

We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented Business Support Manager who delivers high performance in a collaborative work environment and is ready to ‘act up’ to cover our Operations Manager if required. Previous scheduling experience would be considered an advantage.
