Nursery Worker

SKP Produce Ltd is urgently looking for enthusiastic nursery workers. This is a full time, permanently position. You will be required to work 30hours. Our farm is located in Kumeu, Auckland. We have a total of 12 positions available.

**Duties**

- Prepare soil, plant bulbs, seeds and cuttings, graft, bud plants and transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings.
- Monitor plants for healthy growth, potential weeds, insects, disease, and fertilizer problems in a greenhouse crop.
- Spray trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants to prevent disease and pests
- twisting and dropping plants
- position and regulate green house and outdoor irrigation system to water plants
- Dig, cut transplint trees, shrubs, plants and prepare them for sale
- operate tractors, other machinery and equipment to fertilize, harvest and spray plants
- clean working area

**Requirements**:

- minimum of one year experience in horticulture, agriculture, farming, or nursery work.
- this is a physically demanding job so you must be fit and be able to work in high temperature - can go as high as 35 degrees in the summer time
- punctual, reliable and honest
- able to work shift rotations (Monday-Saturday)
- must be alert and willing to follow all safety procedures
- able to work outdoors

**Salary**: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

- Kumeu, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
