We are excited to announce the opening of our state-of-the-art Recreation Centre in late 2024, a hub for sport, health and wellbeing on our campus. As we embark on this new chapter and build a new team, we seek an experienced Senior Lifeguard.

As a **Senior Lifeguard**, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all patrons using our pool facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Aquatics Team Leader in maintaining a safe, fun, and enjoyable environment for all pool users.

The main responsibilities of these roles include:

- Providing exceptional customer service to our diverse university community
- General Lifeguarding duties and supporting the Team Leader with day-to-day operations
- Ensuring pool safety and H&S standards are met

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain new skills and be part of a team opening a new aquatic facility.

**Hours**

This is a full-time (37.5 hrs/week), permanent role with the following work pattern:

- Tuesdays: 5.30 am - 1.30 pm
- Wednesdays: 5.30 am - 1.30 pm
- Thursdays: 5.30 am - 1.30 pm
- Fridays: 5.30 am - 1.30 pm
- Saturdays: 6.30 am-2.30 pm

As our centre opens 7 days a week, the ability to work early and late shifts, as well as weekends, is crucial in this role.

The salary range for this role is $26.00 to $32.67 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

They will also bring the following skills and experience:

- A Minimum of 3 years experience as a Lifeguard working in a similar role
- Pool Lifeguard Practicing certificate and First Aid certificate is highly advantageous
- Outstanding customer services and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills with an eye for health and safety
