A busy sushi shop located in the commercial area of the beautiful Browns Bay in Northshore, Auckland. We serve a wide range of yummy and healthy sushi products for both dine in and takeaway customers. We are seeking a dedicated Shop Manager to lead our team to deliver authentic cuisine and exceptional customer service to our neighbourhood.

This is a full-time, permanent role.

You will work for a minimum of 39 hours per week, on Monday, Wednesday to Sunday, between 9:30 am - 4:30 pm. We close on Tuesday,

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily operations of the sushi shop, including food production, staff management, customer service, and stock control
- Order, pick up, and deliver ingredients, equipment and materials when required
- Work with director and shop staff to plan menus and products
- Ensure exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and service
- Maintain compliance with health and food safety regulations
- Hire, train, and supervise shop staff, fostering a collaborative team culture.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and business growth
- Promote business on various social media channels
- Liaise with food delivery service providers to improve sales
- Seek feedback from customers and business partners and optimise product and service
- Assisting in greeting customers, taking orders and receiving payments.

**Requirements**:

- A tertiary diploma qualification in any field
- Ideally you would have experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry however this is NOT a must
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in leading a team to achieve business and success
- Able to work on both Saturday and Sunday.
- Proficiency in MS office suite, banking, and cash handling
- Hold a driver licence and can drive without restrictions
- Being able to pass health and criminal checks if required
- Hold a food safety certificate
