Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
This role is part-time (20 hours per week) for a Pharmacy Technician. We are open to both trainee and qualified pharmacy technicians. Your primary role as a pharmacy technician will be to provide dispensing, manufacturing, and repacking services in a hospital environment. There are potential opportunities to participate in ward-based multidisciplinary teams, assisting the pharmacists with medicines reconciliation, assessment of patients - own medicines, and discharge counselling. This role will primarily be based at the Hutt Hospital campus, but may require you to work at the other hospitals within the District.

You are an enthusiastic, organized, and keen learner who is enrolled with the Open Polytechnic of NZ Pharmacy Technician programme, or are already Qualified Pharmacy Technician (Level 5). You are highly self-motivated, can demonstrate effective teamwork, and have good oral and written communication. You want to develop your professional growth with the support of a Lead Pharmacy Technician, a friendly pharmacy team, and other healthcare professionals.
