Skipper

This is an exciting opportunity to skipper a busy charter boat in the Beautiful Bay of Plenty.

There is variety of work as this boat performs many different roles. Charters, Dolphin and wildlife cruises, island drop offs and pickups, Harbour cruises, as well cooperate cruises and private functions.

A knowledge of single screw boats an advantage but not essential. Training can be provided. You will be required for ensuring safety of all passengers and crew. You must be well presented and enjoy engaging with people, making them feel welcome.

Flexibility and a positive attitude are also a key aspect, as the amount of skippering work can vary due to our weather dependability. Due to the nature of this operation, you will be required to work some weekends and public holidays.

Some maintenance may be required. Management of logbooks, check sheets and other recording systems mandatory.

You will be working in a great team environment a good team makes a great product, teamwork goes a long way.

**Key Requirements**
- SRL (Skipper Restricted Limits) or Ring Fenced Equivalent 24 metre, passenger endorsement. We can help with upgrade of existing SRL if required.
- Current 1st Aid. We can help with updating your first Aid
- Current Seafarers Medical
- Self
- motivated and shows initiative.
- Exceptionally high standards for passenger and crew safety
- Knowledge of the area an advantage but not a prerequisite
- Able to deliver commentary when required.
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be a team player.

**Salary**: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

- Public holidays
- Weekend availability
