**Head Kaiako, Māngere Bridge Kindergarten**

**Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki** | **Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA)** is seeking a passionate and experienced **Head Kaiako** to join our vibrant community-focused kindergarten in Māngere Bridge. We are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that celebrates Te Reo Māori, cultural diversity, and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

**About Us**:
As part of the **Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA)**, we have a long history of providing quality early childhood education in New Zealand. Māngere Bridge Kindergarten offers a creative and innovative learning environment where tamariki can explore, discover, and develop as confident and competent learners.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Leadership**: Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the kindergarten, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for all tamariki.
- ** Team Development**: Lead, mentor, and support a team of dedicated kaiako, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- ** Curriculum Implementation**: Implement a play-based curriculum that aligns with Te Whāriki and promotes children's exploration, discovery, and critical thinking.
- ** Whānau Partnerships**: Build strong relationships with whānau and the community, fostering a sense of belonging and involvement.
- ** Bicultural Practice**: Integrate Te Reo Māori and tikanga Māori into daily practices, promoting a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
- A registered and fully certificated ECE Kaiako, current first aid with 5+ years' experience in an ECE environment.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in leading a team of early childhood educators.
- A strong understanding of Te Whāriki and bicultural practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and innovation.
