Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Business Specialist at Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) you will support our Kaihautū and across their broader teams. Bringing your whole self to work, you play a central role by providing seamless executive level support, planning and advice.
We have two positions available supporting our Deputy Chief Executives/Kaihautu from ourOrganisational Effectiveness and Māori Crown Relations business groups.
These are fast paced, critical roles requiring a solutions mindset and often out-of-the-box-thinking. Providing proactive, professional support across the full range of administrative, and organisational support activities - you are tech-savvy and can identify improved systems and processes to drive efficiencies. Approachable, customer-focussed and kind under pressure you will also be able to maintain a constantly changing environment.
The Organisational Effectiveness and Māori Crown Relations groups are designed to be influential centralised groups that support the whole of LINZ to be effective and grow capability.
Organisational Effectiveness combines the key enterprise functions to drive efficiencies, put the customer at the centre of our work, and support the ongoing performance of LINZ; Māori Crown Relations provides central leadership and support to grow Māori and iwi engagement capability across the organisation and ability to meet Te Tiriti settlement commitments and deliver as an honourable Treaty partner.
To support our Kaihautū to lead this mahi, you are already a savvy administrative professional, and will be able to skilfully manage multiple deadlines, priorities and customers / stakeholders to ensure the best outcome in each situation. Your experience in planning and organisational skills mean you see potential challenges and risks before they become issues. You build collaborative and positive working relationships across the wider business and are an active member of the Business Specialist network.

- Sound administrative, logístical, and scheduling skills
- Strong focus on proactive forward planning and time management

- Able to identify and implement opportunities for streamlined services and ways of working
- Adept with a range of technology systems including Microsoft Office and project tools such as Jira Have a sense of humour and be an active participant in a team
- Understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti and engagement with Māori and iwi
- A can-do attitude with the ability to get stuck in and give things a go

The expected appointing range for this role is $71,862 - $84,563
