**About the role**
Are you passionate about educational support and fostering holistic learning experiences? We are seeking a Kaitiaki - Home Based Learning to join our team and play pivotal role in the delivery of our Home-Based Learning Programmes. As a Kaitiaki, your responsibility will be to provide assessment services and programme support for our tauira. Our Home-Based Learning Programme offer our tauira the flexibility to pursue studies from the comfort of their own home, workplace, or any nominated location.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Organise and conduct whanaungatanga visits for new cohorts of tauira to ensure strong connection and understanding.
- Confirm enrolment within set periods, document programme inductions and accurately record all relevant details.
- Develop implement and review tailored support strategies for individual tauira, ensuring their needs are met.
- Track and report on tauira progress.
**About you**
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable individual who is passionate about education. They will excel in personalised support, possess strong communication skills, able to maintain and build positive relationships and embraces cultural diversity.
You will also bring with you:
- A Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching Level 4, desirable.
- A certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education Level 5 (NCALNE)
- Certificate in Tikanga Māori Level 3 or Te Reo Māori Level 1 or higher, desirable.
- A Full clean New Zealand Drivers’ License.
- 2-4 years’ experience in education, mentoring, coaching, facilitation, or learning support.
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
