We are looking for 3 Nurserypersons to work in our nursery based in Helensville.

Pay rate - $30.00 per hour

Hours of work - Minimum 30 hours per week.

**Job duties are**:

- Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality.
- Prepare potting media and containers before planting.
- Check plant leaves and note their colouring to detect the presence of insects or diseases.
- Undertake building or grafting activities.
- Water plants and control automatic watering systems.
- Pick seeds, bulbs or cuttings and plant them in beds.
- Control greenhouses conditions and indoor and outdoor irrigation systems.
- Use pesticides to control pests, diseases, weeds, and other plant disorders.
- Maintain records of soil mixtures, planting and plant growth and fertilizer.
- Prepare plants for delivery by packing them appropriately.
- Tie and bunch plants and shrubs, wrap their roots, spray, weed and fertilize.
- Make use of hand tools and gardening tools and other machinery and equipment to fertilize.
- Clean work area and maintain grounds.

**Role requirements**
- Relevant work experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Have physical ability to work in a nursery
- Able to work in team
