Taxi Driver

We are looking for a friendly taxi driver to join our company. The taxi driver's responsibilities include collecting clients, transporting them to their destinations, and processing payments. You should also ensure that each journey remains safe and pleasant.

To be successful as a driver, you should be punctual, reliable, and excellent at time management. An outstanding driver will ensure that the vehicle remains stocked with supplies that may be of interest to clients.

**Taxi Driver Responsibilities**:

- Collecting clients at the start of their journey.
- Assisting clients with the loading and unloading of their baggage and other

personal belongings, as needed.
- Starting and stopping the taximeter at the correct times where applicable.
- Selecting the fastest route to the client's destination, unless otherwise requested.
- Informing clients of services and attractions that may be of interest to them.
- Ensuring that clients remain safe throughout the journey.
- Processing cash payments, ensuring that you carry sufficient change at all times.
- Ensuring that the vehicle remains clean and in excellent working condition.
- Safely transport passengers to their destinations in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
- Demonstrate good communication skills when interacting with passengers. Preferably multilingual
- Read and understand navigation systems to determine the most efficient routes.
- Adhere to traffic regulations of waka Kotahi and drive responsibly at all times.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and concerns.

**Job Prerequisites Taxi Driver Requirements**:

- Valid driver's license (International license is acceptable)
- Clear criminal record.
- Clean Drug test report
- Knowledge of basic first aid procedures.
- Prior experience in a similar position is an advantage.
- Familiarity with GPS software.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work shifts, on weekends, and on public holidays, as needed.

Days required Monday - Sunday (Roaster based)
Number of hours A minimum of 30 hours over the period of 5 days per week
