**Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW), is the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. Our services and programmes in the Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti, and Hawke’s Bay support tamariki, whānau, and communities with early childhood education, family services, grief services, and older people programmes.**

**Mō te tūranga | About the role**
As a Growing Through Grief (GTG) Coordinator, you will work with your local communities to provide support for children, young people and adults who are experiencing change, loss, and grief in their lives. In the role of GTG Coordinator you will be responsible for all practical and professional aspects of programme delivery, oversee the running of the GTG service including the promotion and growth of the service in the Rotorua area.
On a day-to-day basis your focus will be on:
- Planning, coordinating, and some facilitation of our Growing Through Grief programmes
- Responsible for recruiting, maintaining and supporting a group of volunteers to deliver our programmes
- Building and maintaining networks across schools and other agencies that work with, and for, people in the community
- Identifying needs within our community
- Reporting, health and safety, and quality improvement
This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week based in our local Anglican Parish in Rotorua.

This role will provide variety, opportunity to grow and give you a real sense of community. You’ll have strong professional ethics, a commitment to deliver quality programmes and a drive to make a difference to tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.
The GTG team are passionate about what they do, supporting each other, and connecting with their communities therefore, having values that align to the team and ACW is key to your success in this role.
**Key Requirements**:
- Experience facilitating groups is essential
- Experience supporting a team of volunteers
- A tertiary qualification in the social sciences, nursing/health or education, preferred, not essential
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, sound computer literacy skills
- Experience working in a bicultural and/or multi-cultural context
- Able to champion the values of Anglican Care Waiapu
- Ability to build and maintain networks across schools and other agencies that work with, and for, the people in the community.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills particularly as it pertains to stakeholders and funders, as well as parents, children, young people, and other adults.
