While we recruit permanently for an Allied Health Practice Supervisor, we are looking for to provide an opportunity for an experienced nurse ready for their next step as an Interim Clinical Charge Nurse for the Intermediate Care Service.
The Intermediate Care Service is part of the Community and Long-Term Conditions Directorate (CLTC). This position is based at the Greenlane Clinical Centre.
The Hospital in the Home (HiTH) model supports whānau choice, equitable access, timely hospital discharge and aligns with regional and national strategic intents with the provision of 'Person and whānau-centred care which empowers everyone to manage their own health and wellbeing, giving people, their carer's and whānau meaningful control'.
This position is responsible for the provision of clinical expertise and leadership for an identified team. This role will manage the day to day requirements of the service delivery ensuring that delivery is in line with organisational requirements.

**The role is**: Monday - Sunday Rostered Duties 0730-1600 only.
The role is for an interim period and we are hopeful it can begin as soon as possible following appointment and will be at least for three months. Depending on the recruitment, this may extend beyond the three months; however, we will discuss this with the successful individual.

**As a Clinical Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for**:
Providing clinical leadership and support for the team
Manage the day to day requirements of the service delivery ensuring that delivery is in line with organisational requirements
Managing leave requests and rostering for the team
Develop and implement orientation plans for new staff joining the team
Working collaboratively across the DN service in conjunction with the CCN team
Workload smoothing and allocation to ensure appropriate and timely service delivery

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

Will have a Post Graduate degree and at least 5 years' experience as a registered Nurse, particularly within Primary Care, Telehealth, Emergency Care, Acute Inpatient setting or a “Hospital in the Home” service delivery model.
Your strong clinical decision making, innovation and communication skills are imperative to be successful in this role.
Be a forward-thinking nurse leader who is flexible, resilient and can manage a busy workload would be beneficial.
