Telecommunications Technician

**We have vacancies for 3 Telecommunication Technician who would be working in Manawatu-Wanganui.**

We require you to perform the following duties but not limited to:

- Providing ongoing operational support for troubleshooting, optimizing telecommunication network performance at all terminals including FAT, ABFFP, Network Cabinet, and Customers’ end.
- Installing Fibre wiring as required, including cable runs through buildings and ceilings.
- Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems, ensuring that they work properly.
- Examine and replace faulty and/or old fiber optic cables.
- Organize scheduled maintenance routines.
- Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas.
- Develop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections, so that a faulty fiber optic system does not destabilize its performance.
- Execute premises cabling and take care of the underground and underwater cabling requirements.
- Keep track of the signal strength of different devices including: television, telephone, and high-speed internet.
- Formulate and maintain system records and system designs.

You will be working in Manawatu-Wanganui region and we will require you to travel for work to Bay of plenty region. This is a full-time permanent role, and the minimum guaranteed hours are 30 hours per week. The pay rate is $29.66 per hour. Depending on the work load we may require you to work from Monday to Saturday and work up to 40 hours. The role is full time permanent. We operate Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 5pm. We offer a wage rate of $29.66 per hour.
