Person specifications - Director The Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology is seeking experienced directors with proven strategic financial leadership capability. You will have:

- Proven governance experience.
- A genuine interest in science and its economic benefit for New Zealand.
- Strategic financial leadership, including audit and risk experience.
- Strong business and commercial acumen, including industry connections.

Additional skills, experience and attributes
- Commercialisation and innovation experience.
- Stakeholder management experience.
- Knowledge and experience in the science and research system.
- Media and public relations experience.
- Public health experience.
- Expertise in change management and human resources.
