THE OPPORTUNITY
Does the prospect of providing oversight and expertise in managing the Accounts Payable function within the worldwide operations of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) entice you? Does providing leadership and advice to the team of three Accounts Payable (AP) Specialists in Wellington, to enable them to deliver the key financial activities to a consistently high standard sound appealing? Are you seeking a role where you can not only utilise your extensive AP related knowledge and experience, but also lead and guide a team while having the opportunity to regularly liaise with key stakeholders including our internal business units and Finance GMs? Well, we need someone to do just that and be the key point of contact for AP across the wider organisation, ensuring quality control measures are in place across the AP function, maintaining compliance, making sure all monthly processes are completed within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and managing/prioritising issues and escalations. As an AP Manager, you will also be responsible for monthly reporting including GL reconciliations, Payment Times reporting and collating statistics on invoicing and PTR).

This is a diverse role where you will have both the people leadership responsibility and ensuring key deliverables are met, but also the “hands-on” elements of direct internal stakeholder engagement, issue resolution and being part of the GMFRC Leadership team where you can contribute to the development and delivery of the CFO functional strategy

ABOUT YOU
Are you an AP ‘all-rounder’ with a process-improvement mindset who is familiar with both Australian and New Zealand transactions (including some exposure to overseas currencies)? Are you familiar and have had experience with supplier requirements and setting these up on the system? Do you have knowledge of and are comfortable with document compliance and the ins and outs of aspects such as ABNs etc.? If it’s a YES, we want to hear from you.

**What else you will bring**:

- Minimum 4-5 years’ experience as an AP Manager, including people leadership experience/managing a team
- Strong understanding of MS Excel (minimum Intermediate level)
- Good knowledge and working experience with MS Office
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to adjust approach to suit the audience
- Keen eye for detail and solid organisational skills
