**About the role**

The Speciality Clinical Nurse works with a specified patient/tūroro/tangata whai ora group providing assessment, nursing care, clinical interventions and education in a specific area of specialty practice.

As a Senior Nurse, you will also have the responsibility for improving the quality of professional nursing practice and safeguarding high standards of care in Northland-Te Tai Tokerau by supporting an environment in which excellence in clinical care can flourish. This is a rewarding role to make a difference in the community.

The role is permanent, part time working 32 hours a week.

**Required skills/experience**

You will be a Registered Nurse with a positive and professional approach, skilled at relating to and building rapport with others and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Current practicing certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- A current Expert Registered Nurse; Professional Development & Recognition Programme (PDRP) Portfolio.
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles
- A commitment to biculturalism
- Postgraduate certificate/diploma in speciality nursing practice (desirable)
