**All about the job**

Our Event Crew assist with the set up and pack down of the facilities required for the various bookings and events at Te Rauparaha Arena. This is a casual position therefore hours will be variable and can be for any day of the week including weekends and evenings.

In this role you will:

- work in a busy events environment
- be physically active and work at a fast paced doing things like setting up staging and carpeting for a concert, sports equipment for a tournament or gymnastics gear for classes
- work some evenings and weekends.

Porirua City is a living wage accredited employer and the starting rate for this is from $27.84 per hour.

**All about you**

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in a similar physically demanding role or someone who will be dedicated to learning this intense role. We will provide you with a fun, engaging and hardworking, supportive team. You’ll need to show us that you:

- are you physically fit and like being ‘hands on’
- are you reliable, customer focused and able to use your initiative
- have a clean, full driver’s license
- enjoy working under pressure to tight timeframes
- enjoy working in a hardworking team environment

As this is a safety sensitive role, all successful applicants will complete a pre-employment drug test.
