**Fixed Term Role** (6 Months)
A global Australian company with an operational presence in over 100 countries with key distribution and technical support centres located in the United States, Europe, Thailand, Middle East & New Zealand.

You will be responsible to efficiently and effectively manufacture CNC machined tools, jigs, and contract works to required company standards including programming to assist and support R&D and tooling in all projects required in order to meet outlined project plans.

**Duties**
- Generate accurate CNC programs using CAM software.
- Construct CNC machined products to required quality specifications and dimensions, customer requirements and time frames.
- Trialling and introduction of new tools, jigs and processes as required for new product developments.
- Product fitment and design support.
- Maintenance, minor repairs and purchase of consumable equipment to prevent delays in any projects/production of CNC products.
- Documenting, maintaining and updating new and existing process and procedures.
- Implementation of 5S plans and constant improvement of processes and procedures.
- Ensure the minimisation of waste in all processes.

**To be successful**
- Proven ability to plan, organise and work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Experience in decision making, problem solving ability and good time management.
- Flexible, resilient and able to multitask.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Results orientated and committed high work standards.
- Forklift licence holder.

**Qualifications and Technical Skills**
- CAD - SolidWorks.
- CAD - Powershape.
- CAM - PowerMill.
- Experience as CNC Machinist
- CADCAM experience & fully proficient.
- Able to interpret technical drawings.
- Able to use basic measuring equipment (rulers, verniers).
- Some fitting experience i.e., Jig assembly, pneumatics (basic).
- Understanding of tool calibration.
