Functional Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work in and with collaborative cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Ensure automation of services with mínimal manual intervention. Reduce tech & operational debt.
- Actively engage with technical leads for operational excellence and project delivery.
- Ensure security is forefront of thought and secure coding practises are followed and upheld.
- Collaborate with the Data Protection Officer and Enterprise Risk and Compliance team to deal with security breaches, and ensure compliance to policies, standards, and frameworks.
- Resolve issues and problems that constrain the team from delivering high quality outcomes
- Lead people to thrive and be the best they can be through coaching and mentorship.
- Identify areas for improving procedures, processes and reducing costs.
- Be a Cloud Evangelist and actively remove Technical Debt.
- Manager and oversee all stages of the Software Development Cycle including requirement capture, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation processes
- Plan and run Scrum related meetings
- Work with Product owners to ensure that backlogs are suitably maintained and updated
- Collaborating with the broader team, contribute to the technical roadmap, plan & budget for cloud and operational services for next financial year.
- In collaboration with Cloud and Operations Manager maintain oversight and manage any fluctuations in cost for cloud & datacentre services.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, reduce capital and operational costs.
- Ensure that all codebases are managed life cycled when required.
- Create, foster, and maintain business networks and keep up to date of research and emerging opportunities to bring innovative thinking into the team.
- Lead the development, capability and cultural shift towards customer experience, employee engagement.
- Embed strong leadership within own team that fosters increased diversity, engagement, capability, and performance.
- Actively leads and facilitates new ways of collaborating across teams, encouraging bottom-up engagement.
- Champion and lead a customer centric culture that supports growth and delivery, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and support the Software Development team to set objectives, feedback, and team development to enable team members to perform to continually grow and develop.
- Contribute to strategy & development of roadmaps, plan & budget for next financial year.
- Collaborate closely with DPO & infoSec to actively pursue Operational Excellence in all matters relating regulatory, security and compliance.
