Vet Technician

**About Us**:
Our Pukekohe Farm Services clinic caters to all large animals, including dairy cattle, sheep/beef, and horses, as well as lifestyle animals such as goats, alpacas and pigs. With dairy farms ranging in size from small family-owned operations to larger corporate farms calving in autumn and/or spring, our tech tasks are neither seasonal nor repetitive - making each day as a technician different. You could be teatsealing heifers in the morning then debudding calves in the afternoon

**About the Job**:
Our vet technicians are responsible for booking in, and delivering services which includes debudding, teatsealing, dry cow insertion, blood sampling, young stock weighing and sheep/cattle capsuling.

Our lifestyle technician service, available year-round, ensures our lifestyle client’s animals are getting gold standard animal health care. Organised and delivered by the technicians, you will be involved with drenching, vaccinating, foot trimming and general health checks.

**About You**:
If you like a challenge, have great initiative and exceptional organisation skills then this is the job for you. You must have a recognised qualification, ideally with previous experience, as well as:

- Be committed to delivering high-quality services to farmers
- Positive and friendly
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Physically fit
- Great animal handling skills
- Work well under pressure independently or in a team
- Able to work flexible hours
