Are you passionate about ensuring compliance within the education sector? Do you have a knack for process improvement and managing complex pre-employment checks?
Our client is seeking a dedicated HR Compliance Specialist to join their team on a fixed term contract. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in managing HR compliance requirements, focusing on safety checking and process enhancement within a dynamic and fast paced organisation.
**About the role**:
The primary purpose of this role is to take charge of the compliance requirements, including developing, improving, and maintaining robust compliance processes and systems. You will oversee safety checking (pre-employment screening) to ensure future employees are fit for the role as working with children. Additionally, you will assist in the management of an online compliance platform.
- Oversee safety checking completed by managers to ensure compliance is accurate and fully complete.
- Provide advice to the business and responding to queries.
- Maintain and process improve internal systems to track safety check documents, expiry dates, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and relevant policies and procedures.
- Monitor and escalate any issues regarding safety checking processes.
- Be part of generating change, continuous improvement to generate a 'one stop shop' system to enhance efficiency
- Assist in the creation of training materials
**What we are looking for**:
- Proven experience in HR compliance, not essential but within the education sector would be ideal.
- Strong understanding of safety checking processes and regulations.
- Experience with recruitment tools and compliance systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and generate insights for process improvement.
- Strong attention to detail - sharp eye
- Not afraid to escalate matters
