**The opportunity**:
Join our Microbiology team as a** Casual Technical Assistant**. We are busy at our Lab at present and need Casual Support Technicians to be on call to assist in the Labs. Help ensure our customer's products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You'll be responsible for complying with all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures, keeping relevant records up to date at all times, maintaining a clean and tidy work area and participating and contributing to work safely.

These Casual roles are a fantastic way to gain some work experience in a commercial laboratory environment. A great way to fit work in around your studies.

As Technical Assistant your key duties will include:

- Assisting with Micro Media production
- Weighing and preparing samples
- General cleaning around the laboratory
- Washing and delivery of glassware around the laboratory
- Maintaining and delivering chemical/consumable stock levels

Our laboratory is open 7 days a week and flexibility to work over the weekend at short notice is ideal.

**About you**:
This role is perfect for a motivated individual with an interest in Science. Ideally you will have:

- Previous work experience in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good hand and eye co-ordination
- Be organised and have good time management
- Have good communication (both written and verbal)
- Be physically fit.
