**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

This role involves supporting whānau who might be at different stages of their haerenga to incorporate Te Ao Māori principles and values into how they raise their tamariki, this might involve introducing Māori models of health or connecting whānau with local iwi providers and services.
- Payrates for Kaiāwhina are between $51,376 ($26 per hour) and $61,058 ($30.90) per hour depending on experience._

**He kōrero mōu | About you**

While a background in health promotion, working in a Kaupapa Māori or kōhanga reo setting would be advantageous however we will provide you with the training you need. What is most important is a deep desire to support whānau and commitment to overcoming barriers and reaching equitable health outcomes. You'll be driven to build deep and meaningful connections within the community you serve.

You will be a warm people person who adopts a whakawhanaungatanga approach to building trusting relationships. You'll be a confident utilising technology and managing your time effectively.

You will:

- Be committed to completing the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community Services) (Level 4) (Community Health Work).
- hold a full or restricted New Zealand drivers license.
- hold the legal right to work in Aotearoa
