Are you an experienced, qualified health professional (primary care, mental health, refugee health, public health) with knowledge/experience in refugee health who is keen to work towards achieving equitable health outcomes for former refugees? If you are, we are seeking a permanent, full-time, Senior Advisor in Refugee Health to provide high level leadership on refugee health issues and lead and support co-ordination of services.

The Senior Advisor Refugee Health sits in the Refugee Health Liaison Team, in the Refugee and Migrant Support Unit, within the Refugee and Migrant Services Branch (RMS) of Immigration New Zealand. This team works with internal and external partners to coordinate the implementation of the new refugee health services model.

You will be based at the Mangere Refugee Resettlement Centre, Auckland, and you will report to the Refugee Health Medical officer. You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining a national refugee health work programme in partnership with the Ministry of Health. You will work closely with your colleagues. You will build and maintain strong relationships with representatives from key sectors (e.g. Te Whatu Ora, Ministry of Health, primary care providers, refugee advocacy, mental health organisations). You must be willing to travel to fulfil job requirements.

**We are keen to hear from you if you have**:

- A background practising in health-related fields: e.g. primary care, mental health, refugee health, public health with a relevant tertiary qualification or extensive and comparable relevant experience
- Expert knowledge of clinical practices within New Zealand
- Knowledge of global refugee health issues
- Knowledge and understanding of health care provisions for refugees in New Zealand
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent administrative and time management skills
- Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people and groups
- Budget management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder and associated relationships
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining performance standards, working relationships and personal composure
- Experience working in the field in refugee health would be advantageous
