As a team, we’re proud to provide high-quality resource management policy advice and services to Council and the Nelson Community. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic planners at Planner, Intermediate and Senior levels, including Resource and Consents, and Environmental planners.

**About you**

You will bring with you anywhere from intermediate level to senior level of planning experience, and a tertiary qualification in urban planning, resource management or in a similar field preferably acknowledged by NZPI or PIA.

Your experience will be complimented by your working knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991 and an awareness of the coming legislative changes, you will have a high level of customer service and collaboration skills with excellent case management, written and verbal communication. Most of all, you will have a desire to be part of Local Government where you can make a difference and help us to obtain good environmental outcomes

While we encourage the use of our super accessible public transport, you will also need to hold a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence to drive our Council vehicles.

**Salary Range**: $88,000 - 109, 895 p.a depending on level of skills and experience relevant to specific role
