Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for a registered Occupational Therapist, either part time or full time, new grad or experienced in Mental health. This could be a generic role in CAMHS or as a Workfirst Occupational therapist within one CAMHS team or across two teams.
Both roles work in partnership with the young person and their whānau alongside CAMHS teams and other service providers.
The Workfirst role is providing and facilitating supported employment, education and career development in response to young service user needs within CAMHS.
The CAMHS Occupational therapist role is providing, in partnership, mental health assessment and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents alongside their whānau.
You would be part of one or more CAMHS teams (Wellington CAMHS / Te Whare Marie CAMHS) and the Workfirst team that services the region.

The Wellington CAMHS team and Te Whare Marie are both passionate and enthusiastic teams with a commitment to providing excellent services in assessment and intervention with young people age 0-18 who have moderate to severe mental health concerns. Te Whare Maire are a Kaupapa Maori mental health service across the Kapiti, Porirua and Wellington Region.
Moū - About you

**The successful applicant**:

- Registered Occupational therapist. You may be a new graduate or have previous mental health experience.
- Our preferred applicant will be innovative, work comfortably with multiple clinical mental health presentations, have excellent clinical and case management skills and be comfortable managing risk.
- Will be willing to learn and be involved in developing a service that benefits the client and their whānau whilst supporting the staff working alongside.
- You preferably have experience, passion and interest for working with young people as well as being a team player, are self motivated and work well independently.
- You would enjoy creating a collaborative space in a demanding service and maintain excellent relationships within the team and other services.
- Knowledge and understanding of the intent of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and works to address the inequitable health outcomes for Māori, as Tangata whenua and other high needs groups
- Hold a Full NZ drivers licence.E pā ana ki a tatou - About us
