**About the role**

As a **Cable Jointer**, you will join our Network Utilities Team to provide distribution network services including cable jointing for construction, maintenance and repairs on WEL’s network.
**Duties**
- Maintaining, jointing and terminating PVC, XLPE and Paper-Lead 400 Volt, 11,000 Volt and 33,000 Volt underground cables
- High voltage switching
- Participating in a callout roster for 24hr fault response and repair
- Liaising with the control centre, dispatch and operations staff, and other utilities/authorities

**Skills and experience**
- An uncompromising commitment to workplace safety
- EWRB registration and current practicing licence
- 3+ years experience as a Cable Jointer (LV / HV)
- Experience switching operator
- Sound knowledge of restoration of fault damaged lines, installations & cables
