**About the Role**:
Our client is a well-respected NZ owned business, who have been enhancing the quality of people’s lives for over 35 years. They have developed trusted partnerships across multiple markets, including Public and Private Hospitals, Aged Care and Community Care.

Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a reliable, dedicated tradesperson, who has an excellent work ethic and enjoys being in a “hands on” role. This position will see you assisting with workshop operations with a focus on assembly and production of a variety of bespoke pieces of healthcare furniture, such as customised seating and mattresses. Duties will be varied and will include upholstery, woodworking, foam shaping and sewing.

**Duties**:

- Perform woodworking, foam shaping and upholstery sewing
- Manage product stock levels
- Prioritise tasks and dispatch of orders
- Ensure sign-off and other documentation for site installations are completed correctly
- Assemble products that have been modified and customised
- Ensure quality control of products ensuring faults are documented
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards

**Skills and Experience**:

- Knowledge of upholstery principles would be highly desirable
- Qualification in engineering, fabrication or welding
- Knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools
- Knowledge of general repairs and maintenance
- Ability to follow CAD drawings and written instructions
- Pro-active with excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service & communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety
- Good sense of humour & a positive attitude is a must
- Ability to pass a Police and Drug & Alcohol Check
- Covid Vaccinations essential
