If you have no problem working outside in Auckland’s unpredictable weather and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty, then keep reading. You will be working outside with the field team at Auckland Botanic Gardens, assisting with general gardening maintenance. Weeding, mulching, pruning, using small machinery (hand mower, blower, weedeater), weed spraying, irrigation, planting, and any other tasks required in the garden.

**About You**: This role suits someone who is reliable, physically fit with no existing strain or back injuries. Willing to learn new skills and has a bit of outdoor experience whether that’s in your own backyards or in a commercial space.
- Passion for working outdoors
- Can work autonomously or in a team
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Hold a full NZ drivers’ licence and confidently drive a manual vehicle
- Preferred Level 4 horticultural qualification
- Preferred to have your Growsafe
