**Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

Downer holds three (3) Facilities Maintenance and Management Services with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF). This role, based in Christchurch, will be responsible for both planning and maintaining the Preventative (Scheduled) Maintenance Plans for each of the camps/bases that we manage. The successful applicant will have an understanding of facilities management, asset management and be experienced in planning and directing the delivery of proactive maintenance tasks.

This role will report to the National Asset and Compliance Manager and will:

- Ensure that preventative maintenance plans are in line with the Contracted Outcomes, meet compliance requirements and that any changes to the plans are tracked and reported on.
- Ensure service delivery complies with sector standards and legislation.
- Monitor the performance of contractors and self-delivery personnel and take corrective action, if necessary, to deliver works safely and to the expected quality.
- Assist with the implementation and management of the asset Near End-of-Life program.
- Develop strong, collaborative customer relationships and ensure customer interactions are positive and constructive.
- Deliver all services in accordance with our Downer Values.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
- 3-5 years' experience in facilities management, asset management, contract management and measuring contractor performance, and/or on-site project/construction management experience.
- Solid knowledge and experience in developing scheduled maintenance plans.
- Job cost estimation experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work in a fast paced and time pressured environment.
- Must be computer literate and able to learn internal systems as well as use MS Office suite of software (esp. Excel and Word).
- Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Proven experience liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous trades exposure is preferred, but not essential.
