Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to manage our popular Indian Restaurant in the Bay of Plenty.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Collaborate with chefs to develop innovative and appealing menus.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including inventory control and financial recordkeeping.
- Manage recruitment, training, and supervision of restaurant staff, ensuring high standards of service.
- Plan and execute special events and functions to enhance customer engagement.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean and inviting dining environment.
- Monitor and adjust pricing and purchasing strategies to align with budgetary constraints.
- Actively engage with guests to assess their dining experience and address any concerns.
- Welcome guests upon arrival, assist with taking orders, and manage reservation systems.
- Implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Monitor industry trends and adjust operational procedures to improve efficiency and service.
The following requirements must be met:
- At least 1 years’ relevant experience
- Relevant qualification (Level 5 or higher)
- Excellent knowledge of Indian cuisine
Pay rate: $30 per hour.
Hours: As this is a full-time position, you will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week, but will likely be required to work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday. As is common in the hospitality sector, work may also be necessary over weekends and evenings.
