- **About the opportunity**
- As our AutoCAD Drafter, you will be joining our Asset Management and Maintenance team in a dynamic and fast paced role on a fixed term basis.This role will be based at the Fonterra Research and Development Centre (FRDC) in Palmerston North reporting to the Asset Management and Maintenance Manager. Your main focus is to create, update and maintain technical drawings of FRDC assets, infrastructure, and process diagrams.Duties include generating digital drawings and schematics based on design specifications and project scope provided by site engineers, site operation, maintenance personnel and contractors on site.
- **Key role responsibilities include**:

- Using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, to prepare technical drawings
- Working with engineers, operators and other professionals to produce drawings that meet specifications
- Writing related technical documents such as material lists and bill of materials as part of the drawings
- Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
- Maintaining a library of standard drawings
- Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available

- **About you**
- This is a busy and varied role, and we are looking for an energetic self-starter who has a solid understanding of mathematics, engineering, and architecture principles.You’ll be a team player and have the ability to work well and communicate with others will be key in maintaining a cohesive team across the site.
- **You will also have**:

- AutoCAD, Solid works, and other engineering drawings certificates with over 1 year of experience in auto CAD and solid works including engineer drawing and design.
- **Few other key attributes will be**:

- Experience using AutoCAD software to create blueprints and schematics for structures, systems, machines, or equipment. This includes both 2D and 3D modelling.
- Successfully create accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site. This will include creating, updating and modifying drawings and project drawing documentation according to project scope and revisions.
- Ability check and validate design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
- Have strong self and time management.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skill
- Stakeholder Management
