About Our Client:
Our client requires an experienced Cook for a 35 bedroom **beach front resort in Northland.**

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role within a popular Resort business. The hotel is very busy year round, with domestic hotel guests, conference and meeting bookings. There is also a demand for weddings, and catering for larger groups.

Northland is a forested, subtropical region on New Zealand's North Island, framed by the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea. The nearby Bay of Islands is studded with sheltered beaches, wineries, and colonial-era towns. It’s also home to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, a historic Maori site. Famed for its sandboarding dunes, Ninety Mile Beach stretches along the West Coast toward Cape Reinga.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Delivery of continental menu for the resort including functions and events at the venue
- Assisting with management of food costs and kitchen operations efficiently
- Training and rostering of kitchen staff
- Upholding high standards of health & safety and food hygiene

Skills & Experience:

- Demonstrated experience in a chef / cook role
- Proven leadership ability and autonomy
- Creative flair in menu design and food presentation
- Knowledge of industry health & safety and food hygiene standards.
- Must reside in New Zealand with full working rights
