**Coordinating Telephonist, Telephony office**
Palmerston North Hospital
We are seeking a highly motivated, efficient, and enthusiastic person to join the team working as a Telephonist at the Palmerston North Hospital.
The Telephony office hours are 24 hours per day 7 days per week so you must be available to work rostered duties including weekends.
We are looking for people who once trained can work as part of a team but also be able to work on their own outside of normal working hours.
The successful applicants will need to have a strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and a professional and pleasant telephone manner.
For this role it is essential to also have the following:
- Leadership experience
- The ability to lead a team
- Be able to think on one's feet.
- Be innovative and able to implement change management as required.
Other skills include:
- Excellent keyboard skills
- Previous telephony experience or be able to learn quickly.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Self-motivated
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to self-manage to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy.
- Able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Have a customer-focused approach to all aspects of work.
