We have been BUZZed to find a distinguished and remarkable Maître D’hôtel to assist in providing direction and leadership for our Food & Beverage team.

The general function of this role is to deliver exceptional Food & Beverage service standards, responsible for supervising the daily requirements of two fine restaurants, café, room service, ensuring effective hands-on management of the team and being responsible for quality and output of meals, safety and training of staff, functions, hygiene, and good customer relations.

**As a Maître D’hôtel, it is necessary you have**:

- Extensive experience in Food and Beverage in a fine dining environment,
- Knowledge of New Zealand & International wines,
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with impeccable attention to detail. This position entails a high degree of guest interactions.
- A positive “can do attitude” always ready to go the extra mile,

**You will be responsible for**:

- Training and developing a new Food & Beverage team with a hands-on approach with true passion and leadership skills
- Pairing all wines with menus
- Having an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development
- Being proactive in all aspects of service, hosting, and guest interactions
- Have an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development growth
- Ensuring that all food safety procedures are adhered to at the highest standard
- Supervising the daily requirements of the two restaurants, café, room service areas including quality and output of meals, safety and training of staff, functions, hygiene and outstanding customer relations
- Ensuring that all food safety procedures are adhered to and ensuring the product leaving the kitchen is of the highest standard
