Orchard Worker

FEL Limited is an orchard that grows yummy RED, YELLOW, GREEN kiwifruit varieties here in the sunny Hawkes Bay. Our 17 ha orchard is located between Hastings and Napier and our strength is growing kiwifruit for the international market.

We are looking for 2 full-time orchard worker/QC to support us with our daily activities. The work will include all aspects of growing fruit e.g. pruning, thinning, canopy work, harvest, maintenance of structures and machinery. One of the positions has occasional supervising duties.

Attributes we are looking for:

- Experience on a kiwifruit orchard for 1 year
- Can work independently and in team environment
- Interest in doing the best job possible and sharing the knowledge
- Physically fit and ideally above 1.75m for canopy work
- Able to work a flexible hours due to weather & seasonal work load.
- A full driver’s license
- GrowSafe, First Aid and forklift certificates would be an advantage
- A sense of humour and soccer skills will be good for staff functions
