**Job Description**:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- To provide quality and timely inspection and certification services to our customers for the Industrial Regulatory Team in the Upper North Island region
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES
- The provision to customers of inspection services for boilers, pressure vessels, cranes, and other industrial equipment in accordance with the Company’s Management Manuals and the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015); Pressure Equipment, Cranes and Passenger Ropeways Regulations and/or other non-statutory / regulatory requirements
- Identify and assist in developing and securing both new business and new business opportunities
- To ensure an excellent the work is error free and to ensure the appropriate people are made aware of the time, resources and training considered necessary to maintain quality levels
- Be familiar with and compliant to codes, standards, specifications and/or other contractual documents that affect the inspections and certificates issued by the Inspection Body.
- Identify internal and external customers, determine and agree their requirements and ensure the output meets the agreed standards
- Comply with SGS quality policy and objectives at all times
- Interact with clients, schedule their required inspections, and provide limited technical and legislative support to assist their compliance with the regulations.
- To produce compliant technical inspection reports in a timely manner
- To undertake the required training and registrations as necessary to maintain certification and technical competency
- This is a full-time position based in Auckland (40 hours per week). The salary range for this role is $ 95,000 - $ 110,000.
**Qualifications**:
**PROFILE**
- Requires training and qualifications such as: A diploma in engineering from a recognized training establishment or Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering/relevant Technology or Science or A 1st Class Marine Engineer’s Certificate (preferable)
- Certification Board for Inspection Personnel (CBIP) Qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable
- A minimum of three years relevant inspection experience is preferable
- Welding experience would be an advantage

- Establishes and maintains effective relationship with customers and gains their trust and respect
- Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in services
- Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solution, can see hidden problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication setting and can get messages across that have the desired effect
- A full and current New Zealand driver license
